Your crocodile skin is itchy. You are curling and licking your cracking lips, trying to hide them.  Let’s not even start with the recurrent eczema.

1st step: Protect your skin
.

You want to form a barrier to prevent any further dryness, dirt, water loss and reduce the size of your pores. You want SMOOOOTH skin.

To accomplish all of these actions you need a good moisturizer. Moisturize your skin and lips at least 30 minutes before going to bed or after a warm shower/bath while your skin is still damp.

2nd step: hydrate your skin.

Drink approximately eight glasses of water everyday. Your water can also be found in your daily fruits and veggies.  Avoid tap water "hard water" if possible because, it contains free radicals.

3rd step: Limit your intake of diuretics.

It is not armful to drink wine, coffee, and/or  pops once in a while but  remember MODERATION is the key. The constant intake of these products will cause water loss,  dehydration and may follow with more severe ailments later on.

The following herbs or oils are good to treat dry skin. Make a concoction using 2 to 4 tbsp of the dried or fresh herbsmentioned below. Place a towel over your head and steam your face for 15 minutes to open your pores. Rinse your face withcold water and dry your face  delicately with a clean towel. Then moisturize, moisturize, and finally moisturize.moisturize your skin

The moisturizer can be natural, an oil or a clay mask.

Herbs and Oils For Dry Skin 
Almond oil: 
very soothing and hydrating for the skin.

Aloe Vera :  extracts have antibacterial and antifungal activities. The gel  is used to treat skin irritations, wound, burns, removes dead skin and many more. It retains moisture and provides a natural glow of the skin.

Camomile : is helpful with more than 100 ailments from eczema and gastrointestinal conditions to common cold, dermatitis, inflammation, boils and cardiovascular conditions. It is a good sleep aid. A camomile bath is very soothing and will calm skin irritations. 

Calendula : is an excellent remedy to sooth acne, irritated skin, inflamed skin, and control bleeding. It also has anti-viral, anti-genotoxic, and anti-anflammatory properties.

Sage :  a good  natural antiseptic. The leaves contain vitamin A and C which are helpful when dealing with skin problems.

Lavender oil : it contains antibiotic and cell regenerating agents that nourish and protect the skin. It also reduces aging, inflammation and puffiness.

Camomile oil : reduces inflammation and puffiness. It is excellent for protecting dry skin,  reduce headaches, reduce menstrual pain and is good for sore throat, sunburn, insomnia and digestion. It also softens hair.

Peppermint oil : helpful to moisturize skin.

Sandalwood : prevent dry skin and reduce aging.

To prevent aging of skin you can use the following oil : geranium, rose, and rosemary.
