Drinking Water
Boil tap water. Boil uncovered water
for ten
minutes
and allow
it to
cool,
until no more steam comes off. This removes some
of the chlorine and volatile pesticides.
Distilled water. This will be free of all chemicals, including essential trace minerals. Fine for short-term use, distilled water is not desirable as a long-term substitute.
Spring water. This will be
chlorine-free, but
may contain excess minerals and pesticide residues. Still, it is the
best
alternative available. Buy water in glass bottles, as plastics release
chemicals into the contents.
