11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.Ephesians1:11-12

Diabetes insipidus- An endocrine deficiency of antidiurectic hormones manifesting as excretion of large quantities of very dilute urine.

Diabetes mellitus- An endocrine disorder characterized by impaired glucose entry into insulin-sensitive cells due to an absolute or relative deficiency of insulin.

Type 1 diabetes happens most often in children and young adults but can appear at any age. With this type of diabetes your pancreas does not make insulin. Insulin is a hormone that helps glucose get into your cells to give them energy. Your body gets energy by making glucose from foods like fruits, bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, and milk. Without insulin, too much glucose stays in your blood. Over time, high blood glucose can lead to serious problems with your heart, eyes, kidneys, nerves, and gums and teeth.

The cause of type 1 diabetes still remains unknown and is not preventable.Type 1 diabetes is not caused by eating too much sugar. The body’s defense system may attack insulin-making cells by mistake, but we don’t know why. People are usually diagnosed with type 1 diabetes before the age of 30, most often during childhood or their teens.

Type 2 Diabetes: is more likely to occur in people who:

are over 40 years of age
are overweight
have a family history of diabetes
developed gestational diabetes during a pregnancy
have given birth to a baby that is more than 4 kg (9 lbs)
have high blood pressure
have high cholesterol
have IGT or impaired fasting glucose
are of Aboriginal, Hispanic, Asian, South Asian, or South African descent

Many people with type 2 diabetes go undiagnosed for several years and are not diagnosed until they go to the doctor with symptoms or complications of diabetes such as heart attacks, strokes, or pour blood flow to the legs.
