If you have constipation it would be best to change your diet. Eat plenty of fresh fruits everyday, such as figs, apples and tamarind.

Yellow dock (Rumex crispus), Chinese rhubarb (Rheum palmatum).
Make a decoction using  1 tsp of yellow dock or Chinese rhubarb to 1 cup of water and take before going to bed.

Yellow dock should be tried first before Chinese rhubarb and senna.  Senna is a strong laxative.

Make a decoction by mixing 3 tsp of dandelion root and yellow dock and 1 tsp of licorice in 3 cups of water and drink 2 cups a day.

Senna (Cassia senna), ginger (zingiber officinale).
Take senna pills or steep 4-6 senna pods and 3 slices of fresh ginger in 2/3 cup ofherbal splash-aloe vera a good laxative hot/cold water. This will soften the stool. Drink once a day until stool is soft.

Aloe Vera juice: This acts as a stimulant laxative.
